__How We Teach Math__At Reading Success Center, our experienced math tutors will design math lessons to meet your student’s individual needs. Our math teachers will help your learner fill the gaps where math skills and strategies may be weak or missing.

Our knowledgeable math tutors will address your student’s individual Learning Style and Thinking Style when planning and implementing math lessons.

Whether your learner is in elementary school, middle school, or high school, our math tutors will teach and/or review basic math concepts, provide guided practice for practical application of those concepts, demonstrate and guide students in calculations, model how to extract the correct data from math word problems, and encourage problem solving and critical thinking.

All of our K-5 math tutors utilize hands-on manipulatives and/or visual representations to assist your student in developing basic math concepts included in the Florida Mathematics Domains.

Our Elementary School math tutors use a combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written math exercises to help your student truly learn how numbers work. These lessons will promote numerical fluency, the ability to automatically know math facts for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division – a fundamental skill for middle school math and Algebra.

Our Middle School math tutors will help your learner prepare for Algebra by mastering computation and problem solving with fractions, decimals, and percent.

Our Algebra tutor will review all algebra skills to prepare your student to take (or retake) the Algebra 1 End-Of-Course (EOC) exam.

Although our math tutors are not homework helpers or assignment buddies, if you provide the math concept that your student is learning in school, the math tutor will design a lesson to help your student understand how to complete classroom math assignments.
